Screw-worm fly is an insect pest of warm blooded animals including people, livestock and wildlife. There are two commonly known screw-worm flies:

Old world screw-worm fly (OWS) – Chrysomya bezziana
New world screw-worm fly (NWS) – Cochliomyia hominivorax.
