FNF Assistance Package
The previous National BJD Financial and Non-financial (FNF) Assistance Package commenced on 1 July 2004 and finished on 1 July 2016. The package provided financial and non-financial assistance to beef cattle producers with BJD-infected herds or confirmed cases of infection.
The purpose of the FNF Assistance Package was to minimise the social, economic and trade impact of BJD at herd, regional and national levels by:
- providing financial assistance to affected producers
- reducing BJD prevalence
- remove the stigma associated with BJD infection and reduce emotional stress.
The previous BJD testing rebate has ceased as of July 1st 2016
