Work Health and Safety Induction in a Biosecurity Emergency Response online course

Work Health and Safety Induction in a Biosecurity Emergency Response online course

This online course covers the basic Work Health and Safety induction required by personnel to work in a control centre or in the field during a biosecurity response. It is aimed at people who will be working in various roles in a Biosecurity Emergency Response (BER) response. The purpose of the course is to increase awareness of the main safety issues in these workplaces.

The online course consists of one core module (the General Induction) and three elective modules (most people will only need to complete one elective before attending a response).

The three elective topics cover the main areas of operation during a response. These are:

  • Working in a control centre
  • Working in field operations
  • Working on infected premises.
